Default Bought a Taurus SHO

Hi all, I've been around a while and had my hands on pretty much all makes of vehicles. My first car was a green 96 Mustang and I guess things have finally come full circle. Bought a green 95 Taurus SHO this past weekend with the 3.2L yamaha V6 in it. Sucks that its automatic but this is primarily going to be my wife's car since we're expecting a baby in July. Anyone else have one of these and know where to point me as far as an active SHO forum/FAQ's/etc?

Those motors are garbage. Have a mechanic over look that motor and make sure everything is okay. The Yamaha motors are money pits.

I don't know what you base that off of, but they can take a beating. Now the 2nd gen V8 ones sucked and were garbage IMO.

1st gen SHO's are practically bulletproof. It's the 2nd gens that were pieces of work with the camshaft gear issues. shoforum.com is a good place to go.

You've got it backwards, the V8 SHO engine that was made by Ford off the Duratec line was the crap motor. The 6cylinder SHO that was made by Yamaha was the tank.

Neither had "pressed in cams" The V8 Ford one had pressed on cam gears that spun off crashing the motor...
