Nope. Doing the V8 swap adds an even amount of weight in the front and rear of the Focus. The weight distribution is exactly the same as a stock ZX3, give or take a pound or two.

Don't they even make a kit for converting it from FWD to RWD? I've seen a bunch of ZX3s with engine swaps....

id love to have one of those in the street ..can u imagine ....ull be taking out anything viper whatever with a stock looking focus.....imagine the possiblities....

With 435hp at the wheels with the zetec engine that 390hp wont be a problem

with 328hp at the wheels i did 12.55 at 115mph on dot tires and weight was 2960

But how long will said motor last? They give up the ghost under stock conditions and even more so under boost. I loved my old Focus but was deathly afraid I would witness the engine turning itself back into kit form if any power adder was installed.
