car won't start
My rock solid 99 mustang (4.6 kenne bell, 5 spd) decided not to start today after sitting for about a week. It has tried to do this a couple of times before, once after sitting and once after a short drive.
The car cranks but won't start, if I turn the key off and on several times and listen for the fuel pump it doesn't seem to make the same noise as it used to. Also after the key routine, it does start, so I suspect the pump (it also has a boost-a - pump on it). How big of a PITA is it to change the pump, can it be done through the back seat or do I have to drop the tank?
Thanks

OK I'm looking at the filler tube in the trunk, it has two lines going with it, one has a grommet and the other goes along with the large fill tube, which do I need to remove that huge grommet that is bolted in or the smaller one, and why does it have to be replaced? IT seems pretty benign to me at this point.
Can the tank be tilted enough to fish the old unit out. or does it have to be completely removed?
OK I see the grommet, it goes from the filler neck to the tank itself, and I don't see fishing the unit out without removing the tank.
