If you want to lighten the car without it looking stripped, you can remove the front and rear bumpers. You won't be able to tell they are gone. Also, pull back the carpet and scrape all the sound deadening out. If you get it all out, it weights in at about 50lbs. You can also pull all the side panels out, remove all the jute that is behind them, and put them back in. The jute doesn't weight much, but every little bit helps.

You're welcome for the helmet.

The easiest way to get the tar gook out is with dry ice. John (Secret Services) taught me that long ago and it works like a charm. Just let it sit on top of the tar and hit it with a hammer when the ice has had a good chance to sit for a while. No muss, no fuss and most importantly no heatguns and gooky mess to clean up. Expect to remove at least 40 lbs of that crap from your car. There is also alot of other sound deadening hidden everywhere in the back, under the back panels, under the rear seat and stuffed in every oriface possible. 50-60 lbs would be a great way to get where you want to be w/o any money/tuning. Dry ice is cheap.

i think you should put a 150 shot on it and skip 11's all together and go straight to the 10's

Just messing with ya. I think I've had 2 pro tree starts in my life...and one of 'em I didn't realize we were doing a pro tree. That was ugly.

Don't know when you ran him...probably last week. That was Charlie from BADRAP in the 1LE. I've been out of town on vacation and haven't been able to put the mountain of threads in chronological order yet.

Well by the time they started running around 10:15 or so it was starting to warm up anyway....I'd bet a good thursday night T&T with cool weather and a good track might get you there!

I ran a new best myself, but I know it's got more in it!
