Ticking noise after upper intake replacement
Hey guys,
2001 Ford Mustang GT. Had to change the upper intake due to the thermostat housing. I guess the original owner never got the recall done that required the intake to be replaced so the plastic thermostat housing gets replaced with aluminum. Anyway, now I have this problem. I have a ticking noise and I feel like it has lost power. Any ideas?

i had a 99gt and had to replace the intake for the same reason.i know on mine i had a leak and it kinda soundedlike yours does thats why i said just try some starter fluid and see what happens
Sounds like an intake manifold leak. Looks like you have the updated manifold on the car though (the one with the aluminum coolant passage). I would look at the fuel trims and that will tell you right away without spraying flammable fluids all over your engine bay. If you must spray stuff on your engine use water in a squirt bottle. Just my .02
