Hey guys, my name is John Garcia, I'm in Sales/R&D at VBP (Vette Brakes & Products). We make performance, composite mono-leaf springs for Corvettes, Camaros and a few other vehicles. We've been an industry leader in the research and development of composite leaf springs for almost 20 years, right here in Tampa Bay!

We're looking to expand our product line by producing and testing a Performance Suspension Package for the 1964-1973 Mustangs.

The first Suspension Kits will include:

1 pair - VBP Composite Rear Leaf Springs (in varying spring rates)
1 set of 4 - Bilstein Sport Shocks
1 front - Sway Bar (1-1/8" or 1") Including End Links & Bar Mount Bushings
1 rear - Say Bar (3/4" or 7/8") Including End Links & Bar Mount Bushings

Once we gather more information and testing results, these packages will be more dailed in and specific to your needs. We would also be looking into bringing our extensive knowledge and experience of performance braking systems into the Mustang market, later on down the road.

And there are aftermarket fabbed setups of it out there already I think.

 

There are probably a dozen company's out there. I just like dealing with local company's better. And with the car 80% done its an added expense the customer doesn't want but if they have a deal for us maybe i can sell it.

 

Na306StAnG, I know exactly where your shop is. I'd like to come down there and check out your mustang in person. It looks great! As far as "whacking the strut towers off," you want to delete the front struts and replace them with leaf spring? That's what I can gather from you question.

It's awesome that you're running our suspension package on your Vette.

Do you think there's a market for our spring, made for Mustangs?
