Default Ultimate cooling system for a high HP Fox

Need to get my cooling temps under control. 800 HP

My current setup is a Griffin Aluminum Radiator, MK VIII fan, 180 stat, and new WP.

I need to get temps down quickly without opening hood... electric water pump?? But which one?? Isnt there one that is both mechanical and electric?

Radiator?? what fits a Fox and cools it down quickly.. any cutting??

Battery? what wont run it down.. run 2 batteries? Run one just for Fan and water pump.. the other for running the car?

The dual Contour fans are supposed to be the shizt. I am going to be trying one of those out soon on the red car.

You have a oil cooler? That may help also.

How did you do this week end? Saw you first pass Sat morning. that thing moves out real nice.

I'd say the radiator is more then capable. What brand W/P are you using now?

Won the 10 average with a 10.04.. got a 100 dollar check

The turbo's down pipe is to close to the rad on the pass side.. so an extra fan there is an issue. I saw that article for the fan on the MMFF mag a few months back. Thanks for the tip..

No oil cooler.. never though of running one.

Stock aluminum WP. Thought it was an edelbrock piece.. but its been a few years. Car runs at 180 at 65-70 MPH no problems. I think an electric is the deal.

electric water pump, fan blowing from the front of the rad, 16 volt battery, no stat..... thats what I run, after my run I just leave the pump and fan on and have no problems cooling. You could put a 16v alt on it also

Go to a ice/water tank and sell the radiator.....many have to put a ball valve in-line to throtle the flow to get some temp in the motor and only seeing 150 at the end

what coolant mix are you running? Purple Ice/water wetter shit works! way cooler than straight water or water/antifreeze...

I have a low mileage Moroso electric water pump if you're interested in going that route. I bought it from Cochese, he can verify condition. Im going with ice/water tank set up with a Rule bilge pump

Icludes this fitting also

The problem is the car gets driven on the street. The class I like running is required to drive 30 miles. If it was a straight race car I would understand.

I cant put the fan in front of the radiator due to the A-A IC.

I went out and bought the 55 GPM Meziere with pulley. I figure the radiator I have(Griffin aluminum) should be plenty.. I'll take out the stat and install pump.

Suckers expensive but so is a new motor. Last weekends 3rd pass was done at 237 at the line and 244 through the traps. Never do that again..
