Default Not Anymore

I thought that I would let you know how my search for a local tuner went. Talked to Brian at EFI on Feb 8th & he said he would stop by & look at the car. Feb 10th Brian calls telling me he is too busy & recommends Rob at Ford Speed Racing & I take car & laptop for tune at to his shop. Rob changes plugs, wires & adjusts the valves. Car still runs rough. Feb 24th Rob tells me that hard drive on my laptop has crashed & he will start using his computer. Mar 1st Rob tells me he is waiting on adapter to hook his computer to my ecu. Mar 10th my Haltech won’t hold the changes inputted so Rob & techs think ecu must be bad. Mar 23rd ordered new FAST EZ efi & wiring harness from Imagine Injection & Rob installs. April 1st the FAST EZ unit fails (while on Dyno everything shuts down & car won’t start, input screen is blank) Apr 7th unit is sent back to FAST in Memphis for testing. Test shows burned mother board, usually caused by power surge. Rob tells me that car battery was weak & he had it on a charger while tuning on Dyno. Apr 12th new FAST EZ unit arrives & Rob installs. On Dyno Rob notices that the AMP gauge is fluctuating. Shuts car down & checks alternator, OK so replaces voltage regulator. Restarts car & amps are steady so goes for test drive. Gets a couple of blocks & car goes dead again. Pulls car back to his shop. April 14th I have car hauled to my place & install a wench on my stacker trailer so that I can pull my car in for trip home to Idaho. Apr 16th depart Florida for home. 9 week, laptop $380, FAST EZ & wiring harness $1,269, Ford Speed bill $1,723 (includes $880 Dyno), replacement ecu $586, tow $125, wench$100 == $3,983. Feb 10th take rough running car to Rob & 9weeks later have car that won’t run. I know that many of you have had great experience with Rob; I just wish mine could have been that way too. On the way home to Idaho we will be stopping in Memphis at FAST & a tech will be looking at the system to trouble shoot & hopefully find what the trouble is.
