Default cat converter

ok i know what they do, its obvious... but would replacing mine change the sound of my mustang? ive had a history of cars with shot converters and i know it kinda "helps resonate" the sound with nothing filtering the exhaust, but idk if a new one would alter the sound

Delete them and free up the exhaust with a bolt on off road X/H pipe. Will sound like a whole new car!

Yes, it quiets the sound and tends to dampen the vibration from the exhaust. I doubt replacing the would change anything. Removing them will make it louder

i know for sure I'm putting swapping my pos mufflers and putting in resonators, so sound isnt really a problem there, its loud enough as it is lol, i just hate the smell when i idle and start the car lol
