ok..i have been told by a few people that subframe connectors are a must on the Mustang.. is this true for the 03 Cobra?
if so.. whats the best ones to get?.. what do other Cobra owners use?... where can i buy them/get them installed locally?

Any significant power adding and/or gears and you are going to want to have the subs put in. Not quite sure about the 2003 tho.. you'd think that something along those lines would already be there.

The SN95 is pretty stiff from the factory compared to a fox body. Its not really neccessary but with your power level and torque level it would be a good idea. I'm sure Ford took measure to stiffen the chassis up some for the 03. The Kenny Brown extreme matrix subframes are really nice. Kinda pricey but really nice.

Eh, the KB ones are a bitch to install and line up. The ones that have worked the best for me over the years (and Mustangs I have owned) are the bare essential boxed Competition Engineering weld ons. They are the same ones on the Lemon Drop and my old silver car. For whatever reason, they seem to be the most rigid of them all while protecting your exhaust from speed bump trauma.
Oh Zate...please please puhleeeeze get some longtube headers. I wanna check out the numbers they lay down.

Subframes are essential if you want to keep that car around for a while. I hear the Griggs Racing sub frames are pretty decent. Just remember this single mod will bump you into SM.

The best route to go is to have some made for the car from good round steel tubing. I just so happed to have these on my car. I can give you the name and number of my friend who is a certified chasis builder. He will build them from scratch at his shop in Plant City.
Oh and BTW you need to start buying the Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords magazine as well as 5.0 magazine. There are vast amounts of info. in these mags especially on your car. They seem to do a big '03 Cobra article every month now. This month MM&FF got a '03 Cobra into the 11's with just drag radials and a smaller blower pulley ! :o

Without a shadow of doubt Global west subframes. This coming from someone who has KB extreme matrix too; which are really good. The GW's are the shit. If you can foot the bill get the full competition, it gives you additional bracing and jack rails which makes changing tires a snap. Here's a link to them. http://www.globalwest.net/mustang%2079-98.htm#Subframe%20connectors: You woln't be dissapointed if you go with them and you'll never half to second guess yourself if you did the right set.
