HELP! Likely Culprit for current draw? Garaged Cobra!
No need to run an amp draw test you can find everything you need to know by the voltage draw alone. Never had to run amperage tests on anything other than spec'ing out for dealer tech lines. Shouldn't see more than 1.5 volts or so draw, if someone says you can't check it by volts you need to remind them of ohm's law .
You don't have to wait an hour to put the car in "sleep mode" either, just disconnect the pos/neg terminal from the battery and touch them together for about 5min. What you're trying to do is drain down the capacitors in the computers technically.
Test lights really don't work well unless you have a big drain. A 5 day drain is typically going to be a 3 volt or less draw.
Customers that didn't want to pay me to fix it right have had good luck with Priority Start. Good so you know you'll never get stranded. I have one on the fiancee's Focus so I never have to worry about a call because she's stuck at a shopping center from leaving her lights on .

load testing a battery doesnt tell you the voltage draw, and you measure it in amps for your draw . It is possible to have a low voltage draw with too many amps . Letting the car sit an hour is the easy way to explain it , as far as how to discharge the capacitors . With out knowing the amperage draw , all that other stuff is useless. And by the way , if you dont let the RAP module fully go into sleep mode , wich does take time , usually about 20 min , you wont know for sure how much your draw actually is . I do a lot of these problems after the dealership could not figure it out . Using a test light is an easy way to find the draw if you dont have a multi meter. It only takes .4 amps to light up a test light at 1.5 volts. And that is enough to kill a battery in a couple days
