I was bored today, so I was driving around to different Ford dealers pricing out 99-up GT's. The folks over at Ernie Haire are smoking some good shit. They wanted $23k for a 2000 GT coupe...blue book is $17k. Granted it had low mileage, but I could have purchased a BRAND NEW one with leather and a better stereo for the exact same price. What the fuck is the deal? Besides the price, the car was beautiful...white with dark charcoal interior.

Damn, that is unreal. I my base price was 23k for mine brand new, then after the steeda goodies it was more. I should put my car back to stock and try to sell it if they are getting those prices.

Something even more unreal. I was checking out new Mustangs over at Bill Currie. There was a fully optioned GT for $26k. The only two extra options over the stock configuration was an automatic and the new MACH 1000 stereo. The damn stereo option was over $1000!! It costs more for than the damn automatic. :o

Get one from a private owner. If you look long enough you will find a good one that some old bastard has babied.

See the one good thing about getting a used car from a dealership is the 30-day warranty, and some will really work with you on financing (i.e. no payments for 90-days kind of plans). But right now I'm just kind of poking around to get an idea of what these cars are selling for out in the real world, and not according to Kelly Blue Book. I'm hoping that I'll be able to move forward with the purchase of some sort of Mustang by the end of next month. I have some evil plans for whatever I get my hands on....pending my winning of the lotto.

Im also in the market for a stang want a black 99 Cobra the most, next a 96-98 Cobra last a 99+ GT.

Isnt it harder financing a used car when you are buying from a private person, thats why im look at dearlerships.

I bought mine at 16,900 after rebate(18,500 before), but the exact V6 with a Mach 1000 stereo was going for 20,500. A little high just for a stereo to me.
