sorry im always on here for somethin stupid, and i hope thats all it is.
so i was drivin down wesley chapel blvd, just fine except for it acting sluggish lately, where on the construction is and i ran out of gas. i leave my car there for a about a half hour and come back with gas and fill it up.
as im driving off my car has no power and is backfiring like crazy in the intake and out the tail pipes. when i rev it up it sputters spits and backfires and other times it will bog down WHILE im foot is on the gas.

so i used sea foam thinkin maybe i got gunk in the lines from runnin it low. and NOTHING CHANGED
changed the fuel filter, dropped the tank to check the pump and the screen. NOTHING
cleaned the maf and filter thinkin maybe the got dirty from sittin around dust for so long. NOTHING
check tps, got another one and set it right at .98. nothing.
checked coil, cap, rotor, and wires. NOTHING
checked vacuum leaks. NOTHING
checked fuel pressure, which i turned down recently to 39#. so the fuel pump works but ever since two days ago its been at 39#. NOTHING
ran for codes and code 85 comes up - "CANISTER PURGE SOLENOID-CIRCUIT FAILURE. or TRANSAXLE PROBLEM -3/4 SHIFT SOLENOID CIRCUIT FAILURE. or ECA STATUS - ADAPTIVE 'LEAN' LIMIT REACHED IN FUEL CONTROL PROGRAM.

my friend said it sounds like its running lean but smells like its running rich.
but from everything iv read up on, running lean will cause it to give me these problems

check your plugs, could be a clogged injector.


the code 85 is nothing to worry about if you've deleted the smog stuff. It refers the solenoid that vents the charcoal canister to atmosphere.

 

injectors i rebuilt, put new connectors, o-rings and nipples on, about 3 months ago and a ran the sea foam. i thought everyone swears by the stuff?
and i will check the plugs. but wat could have caused them to go RIGHT THEN

Seafoam can foul the crap out of spark plugs.

Your supposed to toss it down the intake to burn the carbon off the pistons. I dont know of any other use for it. I DONT swear by it. Used it once years ago and found it caused more trouble than it fixed.

thats wat i thought thats why i never used it before

so is it possible that it was my dirty maf but then the sea foam messed up my plugs?

 

also forgot to mention that since this started it struggles to start and i have to try about 3-4 times to actually get it to start
