I never said we were domestic experts, I would be the first to tell you if I didnt feel comfortable doing something on a domestic just to gain domestic creditability. Were not one of these fly by night import shops(on our 10th yr). This a move that I feel would be better for my shop & my love of drag racing, since import racing has gone to SHIT! Just give it a chance before you start bashing.

Welcome to the club! Show us some work and lets see what you all have to offer.

Going to the dark side (Domestic) is a big roll-over. Most of us aren't kids on this side and have a "been there, done that" attitude

P.S.
I love the video on the Racing Integration website of the Honda blowing the doors off a mustang that broke not even half way down the track .

Look at it this way.
We are a deeply rooted (And mostly older guys from the old school days) domestic crowd. For an import 'person' to come here and expect immediate approval ratings isnt going to happen. Not from the older hard core guys like me. The younger kids who have dabbled with imports and now feel they belong to the domestic crowd because they bought a Mustang will be more forgiving an open to you guys.

The way I see it,.. expect to take some import bashing before you over come the ricer mantra that follows the import scene. If you can keep it together long enough you might just make a name for yourself. But dont expect to just walk in and say "Hi,.. my name is Darell,.. this my brother Darrel. And this is my other brother Darell". And expect to be welcomed with open arms. Get some cars under your belt with happy satisfied customers. Rumors fly in this scene and reputation is EVERYTHING. Just ask Brian about his days with James,.. (snicker).

I don't see what the big deal is. Guy has a shop and says they are moving into working on different brands.

Good luck RI and post up some of the build.

If he puts the same kind of detication and perfessionalism into domestics as he has the imports,Colin will have a very successful shop.Good luck bro,I say do both!LOL
