Default need help

ok, i have a 92 mustang gt and i went to get my tail pipes put on and have my h pipe lined up right at MIDAS.
the next day it is running like complete ass, so i popped the hood and noticed they messed with stuff after i told them not to open my hood.
anyway, i finally unplugged my MAF and it ran smoother at idle but had no performance and my gas mileage went to shit. so i got another MAF thinkin that was the problem, but it wasnt. then i asked ray wat he thought and he said it could be the computer.
so i took my computer out and somethin was raddling inside, so i took it apart and saw that one of the little capassitors was blown. then i got a new one and put it on, now it runs a little better BUT now the idle jumps up and down non stop between 700 and 950rshared_pm. and because of that it stutters. if i unplug my maf the idle will be smooth again

so if anyone has any idea wat this would be a would really appreciate it.
this is my daily driver

The computer may have learned bad habits while it had the bac capacitor. (There are 2 more of the little blue bastards that tend to leak and crap out. You probably should have replaced them while you were in there and had the soldering gun hot.) Take the negative battery cable off for abouthalf an hour or so. then hook it back up. Drive it around for a while and let it relearn. If that doesn't help, try resetting the TPS and the idle.

Oh, and make sure Midas didn't screw up the O2 sensors.

How did you check for the vacuum leak?
I would try to re check for a vacuum leak using soapy water & a stethoscope or a hose or tubing should works... So if there is one you can see it and hear it.

And just a few shots in the dark here...
It could be the intake manifold gasket? Did you pay attetion to its condition?
Does the car still have have the egr? A bad/leaky egr could cause it..
And I would replace your pcv and double check your timing to be safe...
Also do you know your fuel psi at idle?
Maybe try a new computer??

gasket still looks like new, i put the explorer intake on about 2 months ago. and replace the pcv valave when i did that. also have a bbk fuel pressure regulator and gauge so i can see the fuel pressure and it reads where it should be.

and the egr, we left disconected when i did the intake because the fuel pressure gauge there i cant plug it in. but its been like that since i did the intake and there was never a problem

but i will try the soapy water thing tomorrow when i put it all back together.
thanks
