Does the van have a CEL? has it been scanned? Im wondering if it has a bad ECT, and its taking all the fuel away, making it way lean.. what do the plugs looks like?

If the EEC isnt advancing the timing, it will run real rich... plenty of fuel, with no timing extra timing.... Shouldnt make it run hot, as he describes. May make it want to veer into every gas station you pass by tho....

 

I did some searching around, and some said if its not advancing, with it under load it will run hot..IDK
