Default '89 Mustang- Wont start now, Need help ASAP PLEASE!

Started my car as normal, headed down the road to work. Stopped at the mailbox down the street to check the mail and shut the car off.

Tried to start it, and nothing happened. The lights will come on, and it will click, then other times nothing at all.

The car got a new battery in March. What else could it be? And if its a starter module or alternator, does someone BY CHANCE have an extra old one laying around I may be able to get for free or cheap?

Im located at MacDill AFB. Any help would be GREAAAAATLY appreciated.

My cell is 501-920-8128 to reach me faster. Thanks guys.

Probably not the answer, but check the battery post. Make sure they are clean and snug. I would also put a tester on the battery and make sure you have a full 12+ volts. If you have less than 9-10 volts, the lights will work, but it won't turn the car over.

If the alt is bad, you should be able to jump the car. Then, while it is running, read the volts again and see what numbers you are getting.

Turns out that the wires weren't in the connectors all the way. They were pretty corroded.

Gave me a good scare, but shes back on the road now.

FYI, don't use painted red and black replacement terminals. They cause so many connection problems it's not funny.
