How do I solve THIS problem?
So, the trans went out in the Limo....It's made out of a 92 Lincoln Towncar. I bought another trans out of another Lincoln Towncar. But this could be a problem. Is there any way to take the old and put it onto the new without using a cutoff wheel and a welder?

You can try something like this. This is the shifter arm that I got with my B&M Hammer Shifter. It's missing the pinch bolt for some reason but it's just a bolt and nut. Cut off the old arm, slide this one on and adjust it to the right angle and clamp it down and you should be good to go. You might have to get creative with that little ball stud if it doesn't unbolt off the old arm. You can have this one if you want it.

i thought you just needed to drop the pan and press out a roll pin to change it. its been a while but i know its not that hard especially with both of them out. you might want to pull the pan and at least replace the filter on any used transmission...
Wasnt sure, but does the valvebody need to come out? I know thats a question my tranny guy asks is what shifter I'm running
They are both out of the car. They both have full pans too.
So it's going to be a bitch because I have to try to do it all in the rain and on the ground. No table for me.
I need a general consensus here.....Will the arm that Dr. Dirt has WORK in this application? If it will, that sounds a LOT easier.
