1990 Mustang Lx 5.0 (Question)
1990 Mustang Lx 5.0 (Question)
So I purchased a 1990 5.0 approximately two months ago. I realized I had an exhaust link and decided to buy new headers. While replacing the headers, I decided to switch out the spark plugs. I went to advance and told them what I had. They gave me a set of spark plugs. I got home and quickly realized they were incorrect. I took my old spark plugs up to advance and they said they outta of a 96 4.6 mustang.
However, my old headers were mac product. I ran the numbers online and they are for 302 or 5.0 V8 mustang.
How can this be? I am a little confused right now. I am new to this and just trying to understand. Also now my headers will not mount up to the current exhaust pipes. Is this normal?
What do I have to do now? Take the car to a shop and get new exhaust to make it work properly?
Any advice would be great! Thanks

For a person to tell you a plug is out of a specific vehicle is nonsense. That person doesnt have a clue. There are plugs that fit a variety of vehicles. All else fails look on line for the plug # you need and ask for that specfic #
