Is there a simple way to check to see what kind of gears are on the car right now?

jack the car up on jackstands, mark the inside of the tire, mark the driveshaft, have a friend turn the tire one full roatation slowly and count rotations of the driveshaft

2 and about 3/4 times 2.73

just over 3, 3.08

3 and 1/4 3.27's

just over 3 and 1/3 3.55's

about 3 and 3/4 3.73's


etc etc etc

 

Sounds like fun.....Anyone in Riverview want to help.
