Are you going to run the shortblock as you got it? (pistons) I'd look into TW's or VR Jr's. I believe AFR's have the thinnest deck. Look down the road.....if your going to run a 331 later, get something now thats not going to hold you back. Check into the piston CR's and be sure you get a head that you will be able to stay at the CR you want with the
331. Look on other boards for info also, not many boosted guys here

I am runnig what came in the kit. The Mahle web site list these pistons CR with 58 cc heads as 9.5:1, 64cc is 8.8 and 70cc is 8.3.

I need to see what valve sizes they will support. Ford is running them with Z heads and 2.02's. Don't Vic Jr's ahve 2.05's?

I have P heads, with about a 60cc now, So a 58cc would be livable.

Vr's have 2.05's and 60cc's...just minor notching before it gets balanced, no biggie. I just had some pistons that were made for TW recut for the VR's. Pick a head before you get you machine work done
