what size pushrods?
i have a 351 roller motor and will be putting on a set of trick flow twisted wedge heads with 1.6 roller rockers.does anyone know what size pushrods to use on a stock 351.i know i the 302 i used 6.700
I gotta say mock up again....Check length with a pushrod checker. The reason I say this is different deck height blocks, head gaskets, deck thickness of heads ect. There are too many variations, its not a one size fits all. You want to be sure the rocker is riding correctly on the valve stem or you will have a lot of premature wear on rocker, mushroom valve stems, guiges....You get the point. HTH
yea i figured that.just was hoping someone knew what size on a stock 351 deck height.i just hope putting a 351 with some trick flow heads is worth the switch over from the 302.it was worth it on my 347 untill the the shit blew up.510@ the wheels with spray wonder what i can get out of the 351
Let's assume you check several rockers and all your pushrods are too short. The best way to establish the proper length is to use an adjustable checking pushrod. Crane, Isky, and others offer adjustable pushrods, but the slickest tool is made by Comp Cams. This tool screws apart just like the others, but rather than having to measure the actual length of the pushrod, the Comp Cams tool reads out the length on the side of the pushrod just like a micrometer. Comp sells individual checking pushrods, or you can purchase an entire set intended for those who build many different types of pushrod engines.
