Default Need help??

i have a gt40 from a explorer and i have 302 from a ford bronco and i personally dont kno shit about mustangs.. what do think will work out better for a 2001 ford mustang??? tell me what will be easier and cheaper

Neither. You need a 4.6 for ease of installation and cost savings.

That depends. If its a 3.8 v6 car then a 4.6 would require a different k-member and the 5.0 would be a direct bolt in because the 3.8 and 5.0 use the same k-member. 4.6 also uses hydrastat brake booster off the pwr steering pumps. If its a V6 car then it will have vacuum power assist on the master cylinder.


Is the car a GT or V6?

If GT then you need another 4.6 and make sure its a 99 or newer 4.6 from a Mustang. If from a Truck or other car then should be a 2002 or later engine to ensure it has the same PI heads that the 99 - 04 Mustangs has.

^ALL 94-04 v6 cars use the same k-member as a 5.0

as far as i know, and the v6 4r70w will bolt up to a 5.0 as well. getting it to work properly is another thing i would guess

their are two k-members. a 94-95 and a 96-04. engine size didnt matter, only the year.

nice oke thnx ppl it is a v6 soo what ur saying is the mottor mounts will fit right in i dont get it???
