I agree,.. particularly a 4v.
KarKraft made adapter plates that allowed ANY SBF manifold to work on a 4.6. So if they made it for a 289/302 then it would fit the 4.6 DOHC.

Sadly they dont make it anymore. There is a guy that was selling off the last of their inventory on Ebay. Every now and then you see one pop up for sale.

Ah ok..

Thats 390 at the flywheel from an engine dyno. NOT,.. at the wheels.
Its showing 320 trq and almost 300hp with stock heads and cams which I know they dont make to the wheels stock.

In the real world thats about 330 - 350hp to the wheels. Which is not bad at all. But for the price of TFS heads and the cames they what you to buy,.. thats a $4000 package. Stock heads and S-strim and you have 400 to the wheels for the same money.

Plus I'm a little suspicious of how linear the dyno graph is. Considering the source if from a TFS tech,.. I'm willing to bet that they are spinning that graph to make the heads look much better then they are.

Hence why I said it was done on an engine dyno without accessories. Supposedly it takes nearly 40 hp to turn the accessories, which is pretty amazing if it's true. There is no doubt that it won't be the best bang for buck for someone with a stock 2V that just wants to make something quick, but it will be cool to see N/A 2v's actually run respectable times. Plus they should make wicked power with a PA and a built long block.

Personally, when I get the money to get something going with my GT I'll just go straight to looking for used intercooled centri blower. It's definitely doable to have it installed and tuned for under 3k, which I regret not doing from the get-go, instead of getting nicked and dimed by buying half a dozen bolt-on's.

FWIW, I have a 99GT 2V with a Kenne Bell 6 psi blower. It delivers 342 RWHP and 320 RWTQ that comes on about 1500 and stays through 6500. All the accessories work and I drive the car on 1200 mile round trips through the Smokies. It gets 23mpg on the highway with a T45 and a 3.27 gear in the Cobra IRS.
It's an excellent "real world" set up and it cost about $4K. I did it in my garage, but def let Brian Tuner Dude do the tune.

^ and I could hit the switch chip and use 103 gas and pick up about another 50HP, plus my heads have never been off the car, but that's not the point, I can't use the HP I have now, and the car is very easy to drive every day.
