New Shocks & Struts
I am going to get some new shocks & struts.I can get some KYB or Monroes for around $130 all 4 of them.Which ones are better & I do have lowered springs on my car now.
KYB by far.
Monroe only have about 2 inches of rebound built into their shocks and its at the very top,.. so unless the car is lowered the Monroe's wont rebound much. KYB has 6 inches of rebound,.. enough to compensate the full suspension travel. I dont know much about shocks. We had Monroe Sensetrac's on our 96 Cobra. It was slammed with a 2 inch drop all the way around usng H&R springs. My wife likes to run at Sebring and we met a guy who knows suspension setups like the back of his hand. He had a 90 fox coupe with a stock motor that was running much better lap times then my wife in our Cobra and she is not an amatuer. She has her solo license. He was the one who explained to me about the different shocks and how they effect the handling as much if not more so then the springs do. I grew some balls and bought Bilstein 3way adjustable shocks and on the hard setting my wife actually picked up 1.5 seconds at Sebring just from shock replacement. More was found later with suspension and alignment mods. So he was spot on about the importance of shocks.
We used KYB on my 96 GT and my wifes 87 GT had them and they performed well. Better then the Monroes that were on her Cobra.

I'll second that KYB vote ... alot I may not know (yet) during this Fox Body adventure with my sons, yet I do know the KYB story and their product is a bargain --- better in everyway compared to Monroe and Gabriel. We use them on everything, except the Terminator ... Bilstein on that one.
