replaced the gasket with a cork one today, tested the pcv and all is fine, and cleaned and tested my gillis valve and all is fine. only issue now is the oil pressure gauge reads a tad high.

I would suspect that your boost control setup is causing the slow boost. If the line from your compressor to your wastegate doesn't have a branch that goes off to the turbo inlet side, it will build boost slowly. The stock setup was like that, and worked really well. You have to size everything right, though.

well i put the aftermarket gauge on and its reading that my turbo is spooling a lot faster. turns out both gauges were accurate at full boost though. the stock one never got over 15 psi, and the aftermarket one did not either. turned the gillis valve up and im gettting a solid 17-18 psi and the turo seems to be spooling at a resonable rate now.....at least according to the other gauge.
