What does it do when you disconnect the IAC valve?

Have you diconnected the battery and then set the idle?

What procedure are you using to set the idle?

Other than the idle speed how does it act?

Air leak?

idk ill have to check i have disconnected the battery and then reconnect let it run it runs fine idles fine no check engine light just idles at 1100 rpm and slow to come down under driving conditions. with all my other cars there was a screw to adjust the idle on the actual throttle piece but this one is like just a boltlike fixed and i did all new gaskets when i put it on? and i capped that little valve buy the sensor because the breather from the valve cover was short and wouldnt fit?

just let it run uncapped the little valve no difference im pretty sure the only way i can fix is manually by trying to turn that damn bolt or something im going to try i might have to have someone look at it to get a second opinion i dont know.

That is weird it doesn't have a set screw for the idle.

How long did you leave the battery disconnected for?
