What would make a foxbody better for building a motor/n2o efi drag car than an fbody?
Project goals (over 4 years):
11.5 on motor
add n2o then:
as fast as possible without charger (turbo or and with the ability to get to (and from) track (90 min drive) under its own power.

Did any LXs come with rear disk brakes? What is the weight of a 5 spd 5.0 LX foxbody?

I had a friend that had an 87 5.0 LX with minor motor work (I dont know the specifics) and dual stage Nitrous.....big shots! His best run was in the high 10s

Parts are so cheap for them i think thats why everyone builds them. Plus the price of the car is less than the sn95s.

Primary advantages:
Light weight
Zillions of parts and combos to choose from
Great for drag cars
old school styling

Disadvantages:
Finding a straight one w/o collision damage
crappy brakes up front drums out back
4 lug wheels
old school styling
Zillions of parts and combos to get confused with

Just ask any of us Moostank guys what you should do before hand. I could pretty much give you a pre-done gourmet reciepe for 10s if you gimme some time to look up part numbers and prices. Ive got the suspension on the Drizop that is the hot ticket for hookage if you ever want a ride.
