Default Know where to get good deal on 90 Mustang GT tranny?

Well appears my main clusters probably gone out from what a guy who listened to it said. So looking for a good deal on a transmission for my 90 Mustang GT convertible. BTW from what I been reading this would be a T5 Transmission and not a T45 correct?

You can try Chad at http://racinginnovationsfl.com/home.html He recently did a T5 to TKO swap for me and still had the t5. He would probably let it go for a good deal if he still has it.

Thanks I picked that one up from Chad pretty much about the price of the core.. $200.00. Got a mechanic starting work on it in a few hours to get my car back in condition. Hopefully soon the fire insurance funds will come in the rest of the repairs will be done and I will be looking for parts for my Mustang. I have to get Shocks, Struts, Rear Deck Lid, Interior like the doors, speaker covers, and compressor for the A/C. So plan to put some money into getting my car fixed up some with some of the funds. So picking up a tranny for cheap right now while having to pay rent and mortgage payments was a real blessing.

Yes the 1990 Gt's used a T5. They started using the T45 in 94 or 96. I cant remember if its when they changed the body style or when they went to the modular engines but its definately one of the two.

The T45's started in 96 when they went to the mod motors.

T5's where used all they way up till 95 but in the 94/95 model years they have a differant length input shaft.

Also for further knowledge the 3.8L V6 used the T5 all they way up to 04.

Ok, so my understanding was correct. I was unaware of the input shaft differences and the V6 T5 but its all good information to know. Thanks.
