93 - 99 4.6 Teksid aluminum block. By far the lightest and strongest factory block. The 4.6 iron blocks are just as strong,.. just not as light. Will easily hold 1000 - 1200 hp. Many have seen 1500 - 1600 hp with work done to them.

Used in 93 - 98 Mark8, 96 - 99 Cobra, also used in fwd Continental,.. but bell housing design makes converting to rwd difficult. There is one more that got the Teksid block,.. and for the life of me,. I cant remember what it was. Its a Lincoln I'm pretty sure.

Factory 302 blocks are not known for lasting very long in high RPM, high HP configurations.

Not that it matters as you are only bench-racing.

BTW,Hurst explained it above as well. Do us all a favor and stop asking questions and READ up on things. Google teksid, etc....

Boss block has some issues. Fitment wise as well as well as strength. The DART block will kick it back to the stone age. Boss block not so much. They are pretty much on par.
