anybody put solidroller lifters on a hyd roller cam????
Most of you're Hydraulic and Street type solid rollers are built on a cast core, and can cause the valvetrain to be unstable with higher spring pressure. When the ramps start to get agressive is usually when they use a billet core. Unless you're working with a custom cam guy, I have seen them use a billet core on hydraulic roller so they can get more agressive, and run more spring pressure.

Yes, most of the cheaper cams are on cast cores, i'm not sure on the different grades. I know with Comp Cams if the part # ends in -8 it's on a cast core, if it ends with -9 it's a billet core.
Tiffany, why are you wanting to put solid lifters in it?

Go over to SBFTECH.com
There ia a guy there named Jay Allen. He is Camshafts Innovations. He only makes billet cams.
If you do some research on there, you will find out all about the difference in cam cores. SADI vs. Billet cores was a big discussion on several post. From what I see he loves to do solid rollers on the street.
I am seriously looking to have him do my cam/valvetrain in the 306 I am building.
Be careful what you say or ask, they are a tough crowd if you don't know your shit!
But they do seem to know their shit though! All around it looks to be a great site!

And his head is bigger than they're site. SBFtech swings from his nuts. Not saying he doesnt know cams, but I wont buy from someone I cant talk to either. Neither would I buy a cam from someone that dont wanna give you the specs
he made me a cam, it sucked! Now I'm a Comp Cams dealer and had them make me one for my present setup and so far I'm happy with it. Every hyd roller i've had has had noisy valve train, so this time its noisy for a reason

Not everyone is a swinger. I'm over there but it seems like I have been black listed. Either way there is a great amount of CORRECT information there. I find it is better to just read in most cases.
