The whole idea of me even looking at a GT500 is that it's a really good bang for the buck (if you can pull one at anywhere close to sticker). They are now willing to cut a deal on 09's since they want to get rid of them... but whatever I will goto other dealers if not I will just wait. No way in hell I am paying 101k for a car that should cost no more than 50k well optioned. I can get a damn CTS-V for alot less (which is nearly as fast) or a ZR1! lol....manufactures need to step it up and kick dealers in the balls (they are costing them sales).

On another note... I really love the new mustangs they have definitely stepped it up in terms of interior quality, body fitment and just quality overall. Not so sure I'll settle for a GT though :\ especially considering it's not much if any faster than my Z (was looking for a upgrade).

I hate stealerships
sounds like the salesman was trying to scare you into buying now

If I was in the market for a new Camaro I'd have lost my mind by now.

Tax dollars used to keep the company afloat.
Need to sell cars to keep GM solvent.
Dealer rams it in your ass when you try to buy Camaro.

Just find someone who gets an X or Z plan. You'd be amazed at how many companies get it and don't know. Wit hit they have a set price they have to sell it to you for. Kinda how I got my Focus for $8900 out the door a few years ago.

How would a company get the X or Z plan?

I was actually told I can buy a new SS for sticker... which is better than what all the ford dealers (with the exception of gator ford- because I haven't been there yet) are willing to do on the GT500. Isn't there someone/some dept in FoMoCo you can call about severe price gouging ? Hopefully someone on top cares if dealers are pricing there cars off the market.

I would say they don't care. We sold our Ford GT's for way over sticker and had numerous complaints.
