Default Engine Starts then won't start 2nd Time

Hey guys I am having issues with my 91 mustang. It will start up and then once I shut it off it does not want to start for about an hour. Has anyone had this problem or know what may be causing it?

Much appreciated,

-Airborne

Most likely cause: Fuel filter and/or the sock in the gas tank is plugged. Probably has a bunch of crud in the tank too. Clean it all out and replace the filter and things will probably work again.

I'd do a FP test on it when it wont start before you drop the tank..may or may not be that. Fuel pump could be getting weak,TFI module, ignition switch. Trouble shoot before you throw parts at it, that get expensive

TFI module is an intermittant bitch.

I gave a buddy my spare dizzy and it cured his problem.

The car has all brand new parts on it, new pump, sock, filter, injectors, ect..
The only thing not replaced in the fuel system was the adjustable FPR. The dizzy is out of my old fox which worked fine for me, i dont see why it would mysteriously break on him. Between me and him we have practically rebuilt the car, as of now the only thing not new or replaced is the paint.

The car has a brand new engine from ford in it, stock cam, stock internals, cobra upper and lower, 70mm TB, BBK cold air, 24lbs injectors cause he had a cam in the past engine, MSD cap and rotor, MSD Blaster coil, MSD wires, C&L mass air with proper sample tube, MAC shorties, BBK X-pipe, Flowmaster 40s dumped and many more mods but thats about all i can think of engine wise ATM..

Hopefully this helps a little bit.

Thank you all for the input, here is the latest. I believe it is getting too much fuel. If the injector harness is unplugged cranked then plugged back in, it will start back up even when it is hot. So either injectors, mass air, computer, or ???? I don't see why it would be the case of the injectors being too big because it did the same exact thing with the previous motor. Thoughts?

My car was having a similar problem in that it would run for 30-40 minutes then die and then would not restart for approximately 1-2 hours. After that period, it would fire up without a hiccup. Also, sometimes if I would drive for 15-20 minutes, make a stop, it wouldnt restart and then needed to sit for the same 1-2 hours. Dizzy was swapped out and haven't had anymore problems with it.
