Has a fuel pressure gauge been installed to verify what the pressure is? Also when it wont start to be able to verify pressure.

it actually sounds like a bad fuel pump.Sounds like when the pump cools down it starts back up.You need to check fuel pressure when it dies and when you crank it and it wont start

The pump is brand new and has a autometer FPG. It reads perfect pressure. All the msd is brand new. All I can guess is either the distributor or the ECM.

Just swapped the distributor and same problem. Thought I had a spare computer to try but forgot it was bad. Will have to somehow manage to borrow one to check out if that is it or not.

Have you checked it....dont count on it being good because its new, MSD's quality has been going down over the last couple years

I Have that same problem with my mustang with pretty much the same setup you have. Needs to be tuned, Temporary fix was a toggle switch for the fuel pump relay.

When this happens to your car pull the fuel pump relay out, start the car, then put the relay back in. If that works you need to go have it tuned somewhere.
