But unfortunately, it's just Uncle & I, plus we just brought on a Detail Division for the business, so we don't have someone to do Tops, and we don't have the ability to beat the internet pricing of the Tops that you can get through google searching. Which is our biggest competitor when trying to price-shop these types of installs.

Tommy, sorry if you took it as me saying he was a half-ass-jobber or something. I wasn't implying that at all bud. Simply showing that based on exactly what you posted, we don't have any margin for profit.

For those that don't know - there is a lot of tedious work involved with top install, frame fixes, alignment issues, sealing properly so no leaks, etc. etc. And at the amount of time it takes to install them, and 110% be able to guarantee all our work, and buy the top - by that time, we've easily superceeded the costs of other shops that stock tops, or again, have access to tops locally. We don't do/have either.

Good deal man; yes it is tedious, and it is an art-form all on its own. We would just rather leave the Tops to the Top Guys!
