I have a 2004 3.9 v6 mustang. I was thinking about an 8.8 or i might try to save money and just go with a traction lock. I know theres 3 different kinds for the v6; ford t-lock, detroit tru trac, and eaton i forget their brand. I hear that the eaton and detroit ones are stronger than ford;s.

Anyways how much they would be installed with 3.73's? or should i do 3.53?
Whats some good shops in the area?

Thanks

It doesnt matter how much how much stronger they are if you are just going to put it behind a V6. I would just get the rear axle setup from a 99-04 GT and then have the rear end rebuilt maybe with some 3.73's. That would get your sixer a little more oomph. 3.55 gears are better than your stock ones but still 3.73's will give you more out of the hole. The six needs all the help it can get.

Bah, 327 is a chebby motor. They go in chebby's.

As for Ford, 331 or 347 if you want the small block with lots of goodies.

t-loc is ford traction-loc. Same thing as Posi-trac but in ford. Kind of like how ford has flare side trucks and chevy has step side trucks. Same thing, different name.

Ford Racing Traction-Loc
