Flowtubes - Refresh My Memory
The flowtubes for mufflers on 1994/1995 5.0 Mustangs are the same length as the flowtubes on 1986 through 1993 5.0s, right? Been out of the game so long I'm starting to forget a lot of the little things. Looking at a pair of Spintechs that came off of a 1994 to put onto my 1991. They already have the flowtubes welded onto them which is what I need to achieve a quick install.

Yes,.. they are the same length. (Or should be the same length if they are not). I've taken a BBK O/R H-pipe from an 96 2v 4.6 that had BBK long tubes and used the H-pipe, and flowmasters with flowtubes and used them on an 86 that had BBK long tubes on it. Needed a little bit of tweakig with a pry bar,.. but bolted down just fine and no leaks. Shorty headers and stock manifolds will obvisouly be different and not interchange. Same with the mid pipes between those cars. But from the flow tubes back,.. your golden.
The tail pipes are similar as well but on the Pre 87 GT's and 87 - 93 LX tail pipes are 'usually' 2 - 3 inches shorter then what you will find on 94 - 04 SN95 and New Edge cars. The Fox tail pipes will work on the SN95 cars,.. but they will look ridiculously long if you use SN95 tail pipes on a fox. They should be cut back if they are straight pipes. If you have the chrome tips.. well,.. I dunno. LoL

Thanks. I'm not running tailpipes. I've never had tailpipes on a Fox. I hate tailpipes. I've always run turndowns. I'll be cleaning up the outlets on the mufflers where the pipes were cut off to weld on dumps.

I have 2 Flowmaster with flow tubes welded on already. They were part of an American Thunder exhaust setup. I've sold the tail pipes already because they wouldnt work on my 93 GT. But they would be a direct bolt in for you.
$65 for both mufflers with flow tubes welded on.
They are in great shape. I bought the set up used with a BBK mid pipe. From the looks of it,.. it couldnt have been more then a year or 2 old when I got it. I used it for 2 months. Pulled my motor and will be doing a turbo set up with a single exhaust pipe and have no use for these mufflers anymore. I have pictures as well if you want to see them.
This is how they came out from under my car.

Exhaust hangers and everything right there. Direct bolt in for a fox or sn95. As you can see,.. pretty much rust free. Some cleaning and silver engine paint and they would look brand new. I wont do that because I have nothing to hide here. I'll let the new owner decide if they want to paint them or not.
Mid pipe is already sold.

I usually just use the cheap bolt on dump pipes you find at the parts stores. That way if you need to sell the mufflers at a later date your not stuck with pipes attached to them that the other person may not need.

I bought Spintechs last night off of a person on the Corral, but thanks. I also need to cut the Flowmasters off from the h-pipe in my car because one of the previous dummy owners welded the h-pipe and catback all together. The Flows are just 2-1/4. Gonna sell them off when they come out.
