put an f-150 4.2 in it, i have a 2000 with a 4.2 in it and STOCK gt's can't hang with me and i still get 25mpg with A/C P/S and all the goodies. if you need help with the swap let me know it is easy and very straight foreward

Okay so i have a 2004 3.9 v6 mustang. All I've done to it so far is dual exhaust and intake. My question is, keeping my car a daily driver (and im a usf student) what should i do to it for <$5000. I'm not going to trade it! i wanna do this little at a time if i can. What should i do to it?
I bought a supercharger for it im putting in soon probably with in the next 3 weeks.
Its going to be killin all the gt's.
Id say go with a supercharger or turbo.

i wouldn't be setting my goals to just be beating GT's if I was going to spend 5k...i love my GT but it is anything but fast! i don't know, if i were you i'd do what blacksheep was saying and autocross it. i've heard the sixxers work pretty good on the autocross due to their lighter weight.

I learned a long time ago, not to make your toy your primary vehicle. With that being said, you could buy a modded up Fox in nice condition with 5G's right now and you would have the best of both worlds
