May as well go for a Viper T-56. Many people seem to be hit or miss with the new TKO's. I think indexing the bell would be a wise investment of time for whatever stick trans you go with.

I thought about the 6 speed. From what I hear it is a big ass hog of a tranny. I dont need all that. A TKO will do fine. I am looking into getting it local though.

 

If you go TKO you have to get a 26 spline clutch. I think D&D has some wizard trick to make the TKO's shift like "butter". If you stay 10 spline you have a few options.

Rebuild the T-5
10 spline non-Viper 6spd
Find a 3550

We know what will happen to the T-5, the 3550 will twist the input too (been there already), and probably the same for the 10 spline 6spd.

Just me thinking here.... But you have gone so far with you hatch already. What else is left to do to it? Flip a coin and have a shot and a beer for me, then let me know. Heads: 6spd, Tails: TKO

So...rebuild the T-5 for now and and start saving your beer money.

My cousin has a TKO500 behind a built/blown 351,no problems,he's had the same tranny in three different cars over the last eight years or so.My uncle,his dad,has a TKO600 in his hatch behind a heads/cam/nitrous combo,I've driven both of them,they feel just like a T5,so if your used to shifting a T5 you'll love the TKO.The T45,3550,3650,T56,and the Viper T56 all feel the same to me.

 

"d" should be at the top of your list!!!
