No wonder the 4.slug is so slow without a power adder. It's an overweight pig.

Yeah, the physical dimensions on the modular are huge. Ive heard lots of people compare it to the older big blocks in actual size. The cast iron blocks are heavy as hell but the aluminum ones arent so bad. I dont have numbers in front of me or anything but the teksid block is allegedly able to handle over 800 hp while the cast iron block is capable of 600 ish I believe. Do that with a stock windsor block and see what happens. lol

a 4V 4.6 is wider than a 460.

a windsor built engine will eat 600hp all day bub. to each his own on the MOD vs ROD engine i guess.

lets compare for a second though....
SOHC cam swap= around 600???
DOHC cam swap= around 1000???

a buddy of mine jake has a 97 cobra and it was 1200 bucks for the cams, ladders and all the other shit.

in block cam 302, for a good size cam=300
dont wanna do the labor ur self=150-200.

and the 302 made the same amount of HP/TQ as ur 2/4 cams did.

4v cams cost 695for a set not 1000 , a stock motor with basic bolt on's with these cams makes 365whp 330wtq . and as for a block splitting that case by case some block will take the power where others will fail alot sooner . where we dont worry about our block as much. there are alot of people that over spend on mod motors when you dont have to .
