96 cobra radiator?
Mine is busted and from what I've read, oem replacements aren't to great. Anyone upgrade theres? any recomendations?
I know 96 is a crappy year for the radiators..and I'd like to stay away from having to fab a radiator to fit.
Just looking for opinions...
thanks!

A buddy of mine just bought a replace radiator at NAPA. 96-97's were 24" long. 98's were 25". I'd probably go that route. The fluidine radiators are much thicker and are a very tight fit especially if you have a/c.

I would go with the fluidyne. I checked the specs for the factory replacement one and the fluidyne one on summit. The fluidyne looks to be a lot better but if there is a cost issue involved then you might want to go with a junkyard rad. The fluidynes are in the neighborhood of $450ish. The modulars are good engines and dont generally have any overheating problems unless you really neglect them but they are extremely susceptible to heat soak which robs power like crazy. I would maybe go with the fluidyne and a 190* thermostat or a 160* thermostat if you have it tuned.

How cool do you want the motor to be? Get a stock replacement radiator and electric water pump n call it a day. Temp will probably be 180 or so. My temp was always around 210 with a stock radiator n water pump. Minus the a/c stuff.
