5.0 in a ford pinto
If you're going to build a pinto, do yourself a favor and get a 74-80 model. They are slightly heavier (and I don't think they offered a trunk those years) but the front suspension on those is WIDELY used in the street rod world. You can get any part you need for the front suspension from thousands of vendors. The 71-73's are a bit lighter, but the front suspension is different and parts are tough to find.

anyone from Lakeland area remember "mad max" with his brown 302 nitrous pinto (yellow last time I saw it)
