Haha,..

Look who's talking.

Being out of work has gotten my sleep schedule out of whack. My wife is pretty upset with me staying up this late too. But I cant sleep. I lay in bed and my mind goes off into a million different tangents. Too worried about everything. Until I'm too exhausted and cant stay awake any longer is when I can finally pass out and sleep.

Any junk yard turbo is going to be a garbage turbo. But if I can pick up 2 that work for $100 (Or less)
Not saying that that junk yard stuff is garbage, just look for the 86-87 turbos
I wont be cheaping out on any of the important parts that can cause major costly damage
.
The turbo(s) are more impotant than a high dollar stroker kit[quote]

I dont see where trying out some garbage junkyard turbo's will really hurt anything.
Have ya ever seen one come apart and send impeller pieces in the motor when the bearings go south?
Worst case I waste some money because the wore out turbos take out the rest of my new stroker motor
Fixed
I know where your coming from as far as a budget, momma is tightning the raines on my toy funds . My car will be a classic before I get it together, lol

Don't go 60 over on a 351 block,it would be fine for an N/A setup but I wouldn't do it on a boosted motor, walls are thin.Chad has .120 Cometics, and at 40lbs. of boost has not had any problems.

Mine is a .125 bore, obviously you can't do that without an aftermarket block, but I think Eagle makes a 418 stroker that can be opened up to make a 427.

But just for some info,Hurst,400+ci and twin turbo's will not be cheap to make run good.Yes you can put junkyard turbo's on it and it will run,but not like it would with one good turbo. And with a big motor if you do your homework a big single will spool pretty quickly.

According to engine analyzer all you need is a .030 bore and a 4.17 stroke to get 425ci. On FordStrokers.com, Summit and Probe are selling their CHP, Eagle and Scat rotating assemblies for any 351 block.

Even on a 69-70 block?
The C9OE block I have here has twice the thickness and webbing of the later 80's blocks. I dont think I will be able to go less then .030 - .040 on this block. I'll know more when I finally get it to the machine shop. I am still researching on a good reputable machine shop to take it to. Waiting until I have the rotating assembly as well. I want them to balance out the whole thing after they machine the block and I've heard some bad stories about certain local shops.
