Default motor wont fire up

i put the performer intake on today and when i got to start the stang it wont start. all it does is turns, fluds and will do like this back fire thing but insted of fire its gas that it's shooting out of the carb. i checked the fire pattern and it's right. i checked for spark and im getting spark. i made sure that cyl.1 was at top peak befor droping the dizzy back in. everything is hooked up and ready to go but no no fire bang in big block of metal.

The rotor 180. you have a four stroke engine:which translates to being TDC twice per firing.

I say just throw a carb on it and be done with it... oh wait...

seriously though, I agree with the distributor/out of time theory.
