Default looking for motor paint brand/color idea's

i want to clean everything up and paint the motor while im rebuilding it. so im looking for ideas on what brand to use and what colors would look good. i already kinda have some red going on with the plug wire's and dizzy. also depending on how things go i might do the engine bay as well. im not wanting something i have to wash down ?constiently? but at the same time i want to be able to spot out a leak easy if one pop's up. pic's of idea's would be nice, even more if you already have something done to your own toy or toy's.

I've used VHT on motors with good results.

And Rustolium makes nice Premium satin black that goes on nice for a rattle can. I used it on my 87 car. Took 12 cans to finish. Probably could have done it with 9 or 10,.. but I screwed up doing the hood and had to sand it back down and redo it.

I found when painting outside,.. its best to do it in the morning. For some reason,.. the wind picks up after 1 or 2pm and makes it difficult to paint evenly.

i know i know but the cap and wire's are already red. if i paint the car black then the blue would be ok but if i paint it maroon then it would clash a bit.

although jeff does have the idea of green stuck in my head now. which i dont think would look to bad now that i think of it. flat black coupe with a green block and engine bay. who's got the photo shop stuff?

To be honest, gloss black on the engine with some bright glossy red accents like the valve covers looks bitchin. Like the powered by ford ribbed valve covers. Those would look cool being black with the ribs and the powered by ford lettering in red and everything else black. Then that would match the wires and the distributor a little bit. Just a thought.

Got a point there. In either case, whatever you wanna do is cool. I was just being sarcastic about the blue thing anyway.
