Duce,

I'd actually tried that too man. But the solenoid on the nitrous side is ALL UP in the throttle bracket and linkage! It's perfectly fine on the passenger side, go figure.

I may look into shorter carb studs I guess. I'll need to be placing an order for some throttle balls from AED anyways, so guess I can put together a small order; even though I was trying to get away w/not spending any cash on the car to put it together!

I would cut the bottom of the carb linkage to clear the plate, alot of the "race" carbs don't have that on the bottom, that is there for a kickdown linkage for transmissions.

Well, you COULD go completely ghetto and use a bunch of washers stacked up. Or just get shorter studs. The choice is yours.

With the carb on, the air cleaner hits the hood when it is high enough to clear solenoinds.

That solonoid braket is purty but causing a headache. Run some hard lines and relocate solonoids. On the breather issue, think you'll need a taller hood. Racecars dont run no stinkin breathers anyhow

If he's short there, might be time for some new bushings.

Thanks bud; that was what my thought was... But I wasn't sure if I'd fubar something by cutting that up

I'd prefer to run the nitrous manifold. A.) because I own it. B.) because it looks much better/cleaner/neater than anything else I've seen. c.) because it's what the hell I want to do!

So far I think my resolution is to buy the 1" spacer, keep these shims/gaskets to make up for any clearance issues, put the manifold on at the bottom of the stack (at intake), cut the bottom of the throttle bracket on the carb, and then I need to do something w/the throttle spring hitting the underside of the filter element....

Thanks fellas!
