Vortech supercharger kits
I had a Vortech A Trim...it sucked pond water. Upgraded it to an S Trim and had a blast with it. Of course, I had heads cam etc, etc. I was running 11.0 on McCrearys and the boost would just hit 12 psi at the finish line. The car was dialed in at 417 rwhp most of the time but had a high of 444 rwhp before I dialed it back. There was more in it but I never went there. It was my DD and I ran it at the track exactly like it drove me to work.
The fmu is a wothless bandaid for an insufficient fuel system. Do it right with a proper fuel system. As for the little superchargers, take a pass on them. You will be taking a knife to a gunfight and have to content yourself with knocking off ricers, but a lot of ricers will rub your nose in it, or playing bully with the kiddies who think their stock Mustang is the shit.
The best thing about a SC or a turbo is you don't have to keep filling the bottle day after day, week after week, year after year and then finding that it's empty when you want it the most.

+1 on the fuel system.
You can ruin everything real quick. I went a little overboard with mine, but there are alot of fuel system set ups out there that work great on and off the track. The big questions is how far do you want to go with it. 500, 600, 1000 hp???? Keep that target in mind as you go and you wont be upgrading, buy it once and keep going.

Have owning boosted cars in the past, Iwouldnt waste the money on a "entry level" head unit, you'll be disappointed!!! 10 psi plus youll be able to play for a while and be satisfied. As other said FMU are junk. I'd find a used larger unit, before new small one. Boost is addicting!!
I seriously wanted to add a shot to act as kind of an intercooler, but decide I needed a serious shortblock set up first. I had a bud split his block right behind the timing cover, H/C/I, S trim 11 psi, 100 shot. Never acted up, just lost oil pressure one day, Still ran and sounded fine. Took it apart and the Damn thing was split.

how can mikey outrun you, he's married w/ children?
