X pipe angles?
In regard to an x pipe, what is the most and least angle you can go with? I mean how steep an angle can you go? Whats the least amount of angle you can get away with (obviously you don't want a "t" pipe.
Thoughts?

I believe they should cross at approx 45*.(example 1) The reason for them is scavenging. The low angle you show flows all f'd up. The flow should cross, not merge. Done properly,it will create a low pressure in the adjoining pipe and help pull the next firing cylinder's pulse out.
At the rate I'm going I might just do that
I'm thinking crazy front engine X dumped in front of the front wheels. Gonna have to wear earmuffs!
Both of those pics are Corvette engines, I wonder how loud those suckers are?

if you dont think they matter ask a nascar team what they think, there is a science to truly tuning an x-pipe...different angles, crossover shape, length, cross-sectional area all matter as far as sound and horsepower go....will we ever see the difference in our cars?...nahhh...but they do make a difference
