I ran 275/50/15 Nittos on 15 X 8's with no problems, I think they had a 5.5 in backspacing.

Yeah, 275/50 on weld's is pretty much the norm, and look great!

Being he said the size is 26x11.5LT(the LT giving it away) I would say he has a set of Mickey ET Streets which are 26" tall and 9.8" of tread, which is basically the same size as a 275/50/15 radial.....

Actually I prefer the 255/60/15's..... They are 9" of tread and 27" tall, they fit completely under the fender and fill out the fenderwell opening a little better..... It's why I use the 255's on my car.....

I have a set of 265-50-15 on 15x8 welds with the quad shocks on the car.

255/55/15s are pretty good on welds for street use. no good at the track though, found out first hand. 2.2 60's FTL
