Question Tire size???

Hurst you're good with this stuff --- 1990 foxbody coupe with 8.8/drums --- what tire on a 15" wheel fits under the rear?

225/65 was stock on a 15x7 wheel. (I can remember when those were considered a meaty tire)

But many different sizes fit different wheels.
Typically a 275/60 is about as large as most go on a 15x8 wheel. But the BFH mod is usually needed and a lot of rubbing occurs. A 255/60 is usually a safe alternative for a nice fat meaty tire on the back with stockish suspension. Other options such as using 15x10 wheels are also available but usually require after market lowers with the quad shocks removed.

What size wheel are you planning to use?

Drag tire sized 26 x 11.50-15lt is on the wheel and fits ok --- what domestic street tire will be similar?

BTW - What is BFH?

I'm running a 275/50 on 15x8's with no issues. Took off the quad shocks and used a BFH a little on the inners.
